Thanks for visiting my website.
My name is Mike, I live in The Netherlands and I have always been a motorsport fan.
The first F1 Grand Prix that I visited was Zandvoort in 1973. My first 24-hour race was at Spa-Francorchamps in 1981 and I started collecting model cars after I visited the Le Mans 24h for the first time in 1998.
And that got a bit out off hand I suppose … I focus on collecting Le Mans models, but also related series such as World Endurance Championship, DRM, Nürburgring 24h, Daytona 24h, Spa-Francorchamps 24h, Sebring 12h, and the Targa Florio. I even got a few Dakar and rally cars. I like colorful liveries, so Gulf, Martini, Jägermeister are among my favorites. 99% are in scale 1/43, I also have a few 1/18s.
I post blogs in which I describe the cars and races of my favorite racing cars. I’m not aiming to give a complete history, just for the ones that I have the model car.
Here are a few pictures of my model car man cave, I hope you like it. Updates are also published on X https://twitter.com/modelm43.
Please come back now and then to enjoy the passion of motorsport in scale 1/43.
