January is Dakar month. Today is the prologue, the real rally starts tomorrow!
The idea for this adventure began back in 1977, when Thierry Sabine got lost on his motorbike in the Libyan desert during the Abidjan-Nice Rally.
December 27 – New collection: #104 BMW 5- & 6-series (17 models)
The legendary BMW CSL wasn’t homologated anymore, but BMW built other cars that suited the new group 1B and group A rules very well.

The roots of the Group C category lie in the GTP category in the mid-1970s. GTP existed next to Group 6 and was a class for roofed prototypes, but instead of the more usual limits on engine capacity, it placed limits on fuel consumption.
