Sebring 12h, Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. In 2007, the Porsche 996 was traded for the new 997. This factory supported car from the Flying Lizards finishes 2nd in GT2 class during the 12 hour race at Sebring 2007. The Risi Comptizione Ferrari 430 defeats the Porsche after a very hard battle in the last lap in which the cars touch multiple times and the race is decided in the very last corner!

Le Mans 24h, Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. The Flying Lizard Le Mans entry is a real Art Car. The livery is designed by the famous artist Troy Lee, who is very well known for his helmets and motocross designs. It didn’t bring the Lizards luck, they retired with a broken gearbox.

Le Mans 24h, Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. 2009 Was a year to forget for Porsche. The Porsches were quicker than arch rival Ferrari in qualifying, but in the race it all went wrong. This Flying Lizard entry crashed early in the morning, while in 4th position in class. The only 911 that managed to finish was the slow Chinese entry that wasn’t even classified.

Daytona 24h, Riley-Porsche MkXI. Jörg Bergmeister, factory driver for Porsche, put this Flying Lizard Riley-Porsche on pole position for this year’s Daytona 24h race. Unfortunately it had tot retire after it caught fire. The Flying Lizard Riley uses the latest version of the traditional flat 6 Porsche engine and not the V8 that propelled last year’s winner.

Le Mans 24h, Porsche 911 GTR RSR ‘wide body’. In 2012, Flying Lizard Motorsports again entered two cars, one in each category. This one is a wide body in the GT Pro category, the last RSR update on the 997 series. It was less competitive than expected, it qualified behind the team mates that used the older RSR type and it also failed to finish.
