1998 Test, Porsche 911 GT1-98. The 1998 version of the 911 GT1 was more than just an evolution version. It was a brand new car with a carbon fibre monocoque and body which had nothing in common with a street car. However … for homologation purpose, 1 street version has been built.

1993 Spa-Francorchamps 24h, Porsche Carrera RSR. The 24-hour race at Spa has been a touring car event for many years, but getting full starting grids became more and more problematic. So since last year also GT’s were allowed. Some 25 Porsche 911 joined. Because the Porsche were a lot quicker than the local ‘procar’ touring cars, these got a restrictor on the fuel inlet that made their pitstops about twice as long. The race was red flagged after 15 hours, because the Belgian king had died that night … The shortened race was won by the Roock Porsche in Mobil1 livery with a great driver line-up. The first 6 spots were for Porsches.
