This collection was first dedicated to Gulf Aston Martins only, in November 2025 I added other makes. The Aston Martins can also be found in collection #078.


1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
The 911 was a popular GT but to improve its performance Porsche designed the 911 Carrera RS. Based upon that it made the lightweight RSR competition version. One of the cars built for homologation was a car in the colors “gulf blue and indian red”.

2005 Spa-Francorchamps 1000km, Porsche 911 GT3 RSR
The Gordon / Gulf sponsored GT3 RSR finished 6th in GT2 at the wet track of the LMES round at Francorchamps in 2005. Surprising GT2 winner was the LNT TVR, while the overall victory was achieved by a Zytek LMP1. In 2006 this car drove at Le Mans in the famous Gulf livery.

In the past, the blue and orange Gulf livery stood for professionality and results, mainly achived by John Wyer Racing. The 2006 version of Gulf Porsche was not that successful, it finished only 23rd.

2006 Ford GT
The 2006 Ford GT started as a concept car but was taken in production soon after. It was inspired by the famous Le Mans racers. The cars in the blue and orange color scheme of Gulf were named the Heritage Edition. This second generation Ford GT has a 5.0 liter super charged V8 that delivers 550 hp.

2006 IMSA Porsche GT3 Challenge, Porsche 911 GT3
The Porsche GT3 Challenge is very popular in the USA also, however it’s not an official Carrera Cup. These Porsche GT3’s have a support race before the ALMS series. The Kelly Moss cars are all painted in historic Porsche liveries such as this beautiful Gulf colored car.

2010 Spa-Francorchamps 24h, Aston Martin DBRS9
However, the 24 hours race at Spa-Francorchamps wasn´t part of any championship, it attracted a large number of participants of good quality. Many exotic GT´s from GT2 (FIA GT and Le Mans Series and GT3 (Euro series and VLN) appeared at the start. This Belgian Aston Martin was one of the most beautiful cars present.

Organiser Stephane Ratel struck gold again. The Blancpain Endurance Series for GT3 cars has become very popular in short time, we see grids full of exotic sports cars. Highlight of the season is the Spa 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps, where double points are being awarded. No points however for this beautiful Gulf sponsored Aston Martin DBRS9 that failed to finish.

2011 Spa-Francorchamps 24h, Lamborghini Gallardo
Reiter Engineering participated with their own team, but they also prepare cars for customer teams. This Gulf sponsored car from the United Arab Emirates is one of them. The experienced Fabien Giroix cannot prevent that the Lamborghini is one of the slower teams. First it gets damaged at the rear (pic) and afterwards the clutch fails.

2011 Le Mans 24h, Aston Martin V8 Vantage
The GT2 category has been replaced by GTE-Pro and GTE-Am and Aston Martin switched from the howling V12-engines to roaring V8’s. This AMR Middle East V8 Vantage in GTE-Am. The car sure had potential however it failed to finish after 141 laps. The car is now part of the ROFGO Collection owned by Roald Goethe, Mike Wainwright continued racing Porsches with GR Racing (see collection #001).

2011 Macau GT Cup, McLaren MP4-12C GT3
McLaren once built the fastest and best GT ever, the F1 GTR. This MP4-12C is much cheaper and being built in larger numbers. Of course a racing version is developed also. This GT3 version has less power than the street car, but is lighter and stiffer. Danny Watts scores the car’s first podium by finishing 3rd in the Macau GT race in 2011.

2012 Macau GT Cup, McLaren MP4-12C GT3
Danny Watts again races in the narrow streets of Macau with a McLaren in Gulf livery. Again he finished 3rd and again victory goes to Eduardo Mortara in his Audi R8 LMS GT3.

2012 Le Mans 24h, Aston Martin V8 GTE
Prodrive spent a few years operating Aston Martin’s prototypes; first the Lola based DBR1-2 and then the completely failed AMR-One. Now Aston Martin put their effort again in the GT category with two Prodrive prepared V8 GTE’s. This one finished 3rd in GTE-PRO behind two Ferrari 458. The other one was entered in GTE-AM and had to retire. Both cars raced in the famous Gulf livery.

2013 Macau GT Cup, McLaren MP4-12C GT3
The race through the super fast but narrow streets of Macau is one of the highlights of the season; close racing, spectacular crashes and Eduardo Mortara who scores his third victory in a row and by now earned the nickname “Mr Macau”. Danny Watts finishes third after two third places in the previous years.

2013 Le Mans 24h, Aston Martin V8 GTE
Last year Aston Martin returned to GT racing with a third place. In 2013 two works cars were entered, this one in GTE-PRO in an Art Car livery. The other car was entered in GTE-AM, sadly Danish driver Allen Simonsen got killed in an accident in the first hour of the race.

In 2015 Prodrive Aston Martin entered another Art Car; the livery gives the suggestion that the car is out of focus and thus gives it more speed according to the artistTobias Rehberger. Unfortunately it didn’t reach the finish.

2021 Spa-Francorchamps 24h, Audi R8 LMS evo II
Competition in GT3 is fierce, so Audi launched an evo version in 2019 and a final evo II in 2021. Audi Sport has optimized the R8 LMS in five areas: aerodynamics, engine characteristics, air conditioning, suspension and traction control. This Gulf car is entered for his son by Roald Goethe, a passionate racing driver and car collector (the famous ROFGO collection), operations are provided by WRT. Co-driver Franco Colapinto has managed to reach Formula 1.

2023 Spa-Francorchamps 24h, McLaren 720S GT3 evo
The Garage 59 McLaren 720S GT3 evo was one of the most beautiful and impressive cars in the Spa 24h race, but it didn’t bring luck. The Gulf / ROFGO sponsored car qualified only 41st and retired with suspension failure. The ROFGO advertising refers to the enormous collection of Gulf Racing cars that is owned by Benjamin’s father Roald Goethe.

2025 Bathurst 12h, Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3.
The Bathurst 12h often provides some nice liveries. This year is no exemption. Besides some European and Asian teams that compete in the FIA GT Endurance championship, this local team Volante Rosso “red steering wheel” entered a beautiful Gulf sponsored Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 in the Silver category. The drivers were an interesting mix of young talented drivers from Australia, Emirates and Ecuador. The team started the race in 18th and finished 13th.
