#052 Joest Porsche 956 & 962

Reinhold Joest (started his racing career as Jöst, but the two dots on top of the O aren’t recognised always internationally) raced some 20 years in all kind of Porsches before he started his own team. Joest Racing has been very successful since the early 80’s, they won Le Mans already 8 times. In this blog you will find mainly Porsche 956 and 962’s, other Porsches will be presented later. The Audi’s can be found here.

1983 DRM Zolder, Porsche 956K. The Porsche 956 was not only successful in endurance racing, it was also very fast in sprint races. The first race of the season was at Zolder in Belgium where the livery of the car was different from the rest of the season.
